OMG waddled into the gym feeling like a lame duck, after stuffing myself Christmas Day. I managed to auto eject my workout shaker cup onto the street, where it shattered and drained out. Probably a good thing as my body had tons of stored up carbs from the last 24 hours.
I'm forging ahead with increasing the volume and intensity of the bench press day and today I increased my work sets by 10 lbs and I did not struggle on any of the sets. All my work sets where paused at the chest and then exploded up to full extension. My last set was once again a AMRAP set with the sling shot. Week 7 I will increase the weight again another 10 lbs.
My back work was a repeat from last week. 3 sets of 10 reps but each rep was exploded up with maximum force from full extension, off the bar rest 5 - 10 secs, back on repeat. Working that mind/muscle connection.
Threw in a new exercise DB flyes but done flying on the floor. And then totally forgot to crush my triceps at the end, there's always tomorrow! It must have been because I was so excited to get on the air dyne and crush my soul!
Day 3
Bench Press warm up bar x 10 2 sets, 95 x 10, 135 x 10, 185 x 5, 225 x 5
work sets 275 x 3, 285 x 3 6 sets, 285 x 7 AMRAP with sling shot
Medium grip pull ups 3 x 10
DB Flyes lying on the ground 4 x 10
