Week 11 Day 2 Sumo Deadlifts

Today I went slightly off script and started pulling singles from 405 and up. My plan going into this workout was to hit singles, see how they felt and limit out at 495. I did not want a grinder rep and I managed to avoid this. Truth be told I wanted to hit 495 real bad one more time, after making some minor changes to my deadlift. For deadlift based of how my workout went today, I will go with an opener of about 455 lbs. Ultimately I want to take a run at the BC deadlift record for my age and weight category. 
Hit some paused deadlifts after for just two sets to keep myself focused on technique. Followed up with some grip work and the workout was done. Second workout I've done the paused deadlifts and I'm really liking them. For my next training evolution I will be programming these in and keeping the weight lighter to keep the overall stress down on my body. I do know one thing I've learned from doing this particular program so far, 12 weeks is too much for me. The rest for a future blog.

Sumo Deadlifts warm up 135 x 10, 185 x 10, 225 x 5, 275 x 5, 315 x 5
work sets 365 x 3, 405 x 1, 425 x 1, 455 x 1, 495 x 1
Paused deadlifts 315 x 3 2 sets
One Arm BB Static Holds 135 for 10 count 3 sets
